As i hear others' reactions to the mystery substance, different things come to my mind. One is of a quote from a comedian, I cant remember whom, but hes was talking about when you were a kid and at the creepy neighbors haunted house, they would put your hand in a box of noodles, and ask "Is it brains?" and he would reply dryly, "Can I go home now?"
I was also reminded of one of those experiences myself. I was around seven years old, and I found myself in a haunted house, sticking my hand into what was supposedly eyes and brains and blood, but was really just grapes, macaroni, and colored water. When I actually felt the substance it was like a slimy wet mass, quite viscous. It was kind of like melted silly putty, sticky and mushy. It got on my hands, and the goo smelled of sugar. Like it was five parts sugar to one part gelatin. I tried to get it off of my hands by rubbing it in like hand sanitizer, but that only made it dry and sticky. After we could open our eyes, it was obvious by what was on other peoples' hands that it was a certain well known flavored gelatin treat, which I cannot refer to by trademark as that would be against the assignment.
